Okagbare lands Guinness world record with 67 Diamond League appearances


Nigerian sprinter, Blessing Okagbare-Ighoteguonor has been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the athlete with the most appearances in Diamond League meetings.
The Olympic and World Championships medalist made a total of 67 appearances in the League between 3 July, 2010 and 31 August, 2018.
“A dream made reality through God’s grace and determination… Thanks to @GWR book of world records. I am indeed honored, proud and grateful,” Okagbare tweeted on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old also holds the Women’s 100 metres Commonwealth Games record for the fastest time at 10.85 seconds.
